new new new.

My blogging habits have been slipping, which is funny because I feel I have more to blog about, but I just cannot keep up with myself. I have a few really great projects I hope to take pictures of this weekend and get up here for spring! Its just hard trying to take pictures of yourself doing a DIY project haha!
Anyway, I haven't posted anything I have been working on in awhile so I thought I better pay my dues.
First off, let me start by saying how super thankful I am to have a boyfriend willing to help me with my big ideas. My head is almost non stop, processing, creating new, figuring out. I so often have ideas I cannot even achieve alone because I do not have all the skills. But that doesn't stop my brian from pouring them out. So I'm just really glad I have a boyfriend that I can call and say "can you cut me some triangles out of wood, and drill holes in the corners", he is unphased and does not ask any questions on Friday's he usually just hands me a "treat".
I was really excited to put this watch the idea play out. Yesterday I sat down and worked on it and am REALLY happy with the outcome.
Even though this is a sample (that I pretty much rushed through) I think its just adorable. I overwhelmed trying to figure out if something will work out or what I will have to fix. Its really sort of a rush for me. (haha, I'm so old and boring)
But since I AM in process of getting and Etsy up again I would really love feedback on this? Worth making more? Some little things I will change but overall I really love it.
Let me know what you think!

I know a house where love was made.

So I dont want to brag (too much) about how I have the best boyfriend in the world, but I just gotta sometimes :)
I get morning e-mails everyday from my boy and today I loved it so much I had to share.
I know, right? He is the sweetest thing in the world. He had taken this picture awhile ago and made me a pretty background for my computer with a super sweet message, of course!
He has no idea how proud I am him, he is working so hard to learn and grow with his editing and photography skills. Even from when we met he has come so far especially with learning the style I really love. We have very different tastes when it comes to art (which I love) and it has been so neat to watch our worlds collide and new things be made. He is so good to me.
I love you babe! Keeping growing!

More later,

I'm bigger.

"Are you where you thought you'd be, so beautiful and only twenty-three."

I was 18 when that album came out, and waited for it to be my turn for that lyric to apply to me. Then it was my year and I completely forgot, until I opened a card from my dearest Rachel where it was written.

If you're wondering I am no where close to where I thought I would be at twenty-three, but I think I might like it this way better. Yes, as I have written, I had plans, lots actually. If I shared with you at 18 where I thought I would be on this very day, I am sure you would enjoy a lot of laughs at my expense and that's okay.I am learning to love each day, realizing I am overflowing with things to be thankful for. Learning simplicity, in so many aspects of life. Life is crazy.
But through all this craziness that is life, I am surrounded by the most wonderful humans.
My dearest Maria gathered so many of my favorite people together for a very happy afternoon.
I was so surprised! So many smiles and so much love. Greg was wishing we got together every month. Something about having so many fantastic people all in one place that makes you just feel so at peace. It was a truly wonderful birthday.
After my party I needed a nap.. who said you cant nap on your birthday :)
Then we went to potluck where my fellow potluckers filled the room with balloons, made cupcakes and made me wear a silly hat. I have no idea what was wrong with us, but the entire evening was filled so much laughter my abs were sore the next day.
It was a perfect start to another year.
So here's to you twenty-three, I have no idea what's in store, but I'm sure it is going to be like nothing I have planned.

Friday Five.

So for the past few months I have been obsessed with these little wooden horses I keep seeing around. But they are always uber expensive so I just admire them from afar.

Then, this past week I found out they are a swedish thing. I FREAKED out! I called Mum and we chatted about it and she tells me she has 2 at home. (of course she does)
I realized at that moment... I think I am scandinavian.
No joke, I get excited and proud when anything comes from there, when I find bloggers from there, or artists. I always tell Greg our future home will be completely scandinavian decor. This is what happens when you spend way too much time with a family of Finns, you just adopt their love and pride for their culture.
So this week, Friday Five is dedicated to the culture in which I pretend to be apart of with all my heart.

1.Veryyyyy pretty earrings.

2. Anything moomin, I'm obsessed.

3. Rachel Preville, can you screen print me this dress? Please? :)

4. Most beautiful mobile.

5. I love big beads, especially these knit ones!

The only thing keeping me from being a true scandinavian is this stupid height issue I have..
darn you tiny italian ancestors!!

stupid sick.

I really need to apologize for my lack of posting this week.
I am sick, and I do not do sick very well.
Mainly because I refuse to go to any doctors so I run my cycles of home remedies and such. I'm pretty sure if you could over dose on tea I would have done it this week.

Yesterday I woke up with some blisters in the back of my throat (gross I know) so I was pretty much forced to go. I spent 40 dollars for them to tell me to continue drinking tea and using steam, lots of water, and sleep. thankkkks.
I always spend my first few sick days sick denying I am and doing errands and running around pretending its not happening, when I get to the point where I am stuck at home I start about 20 new random projects. Its so weird I just start to dabble in whatever I feel like and just see how it goes.

SO today I will be blogging A LOT. I have two friday posts to catch up on, my birthday, a what I wore post, and so many backed up recipe posts its ridiculous.

Today is friday my favorite day because boy comes home, and this week he is bringing some of my favorites along with him. I have been beaming with excitement all week!

You'll be hearing from me soon.
