sew sweet.

Recently, my favorite part of the week comes at the end when I go to one of my favorite houses and give this little lovie sewing lessons.
I forget how very much I love teaching littles in any regard, it really helps me to feel myself.
And this one in particular is a truly inspiring being.
I love watching her skills grow and her take bigger risks than I ever would. Its part of being a kid that I really really miss, the fear of failure is so small that you actually take chances.
Laura isn't scared of wasting fabric cause it costs money, she isn't scared it will take too much time, and she isn't scared of not having a perfectly symmetrical patterns. Laura just creates because she is inspired which leads her to make the most beautiful things I've ever seen a young person make.
She is always teaching me more than I ever really feel like I am teaching her.
I have so much love for this little one.
Things are looking brighter. Everyday.

We're still here.

Hope you are enjoying this beautiful holiday and resonating in all it means for us.
Sorry it has been so quiet around here, I have just been in a little rut. Slowly but surely I am climbing out, rekindling inspiration and feeling more myself again.
I have so many things that have been piling up that I am dying to share with you.
I hope I haven't lost you all yet, I promise to meet you here this week.

Le wedding// DIY: Glitter Tape

Last week was one of the greatest weeks, hence my lack of updating.
So to be back in your good graces I thought I would start my blogging week with my very first Le Wedding post. Here goes nothing..
I am going to be honest, I LOVE glitter. You may be thinking it doesn't really seem like my thing and to be perfectly honest, you're right. But there is just something magical about it that automatically makes you feel slightly like a fairy princess.
This is an easy peasy way to dress up any of your wedding details, programs, place settings, thank you cards.
Just have fun with it:)

1. scissors 2. double sided tape 3. glitter

[just so you know] I highly suggest getting double sided scrapbooking or poster tape that has backing on one side. Otherwise things will be a bit messier. If you get standard double sided tape you will have to adhere it to your project then put glitter on the entire thing to be able to preserve one sides sticky-ness. This way you can make the glitter tape and use it now, or save it for later!

1. pour some of your glitter into a dish

2. cut your tape

3. put your tape face down in the glitter until the strip is completely covered.

4. peel, stick, enjoy!

cut your tape in various ways to get different looks!

There you have it! so many lovely things to catch you up on but for now I am off to my Maid of Honors to finish up my save the dates! Yippie! Be back later with a just for smiles Piggy post!

silly Monday mornings.

We have a little Monday tradition that happens every week before Greg returns to school.
After I leave for work, he uses my mini collection to set up my two favorite piggys in some silly way.
I am not really sure how or when this started but, when I come home to my empty space after nannying it is always a little something that keeps me smiling and makes the day a little brighter.

Today I just felt like maybe someone else needed a little silly happiness uplifting so I decided to share.
Who knows maybe I'll start sharing them with you every Monday, they just make me ever so happy.
As always I am so thankful for the quirky not-so-normal love I share with my Boy, I would never trade it for anything.

don't go without me.

Today is a special day because exactly six months from today, I will be marrying the love of my life.

Isn't that the most exciting thing!?
On this day I thought I was also finally ready to announce that I will be starting my DIY wedding projects on the blog. I have had tons of ideas drawn up and ready storing them up for the right time, when I finally realized if I keep waiting my wedding will be here before you know it!
So if you notice on my button tabs, a new button called Le Wedding. This where you will be able to easily access any wedding posts after they have been posted. Updates on my own wedding, inspiration, and DIYs. EP EP!
I AM SO EXCITED.
We have been moving a few things around in the last few months if you haven't noticed.
I have finally updated my about page to refer to Greg as my finance (hehe) and we added some social media buttons if you feel so inclined to uber updated with my life:)
Do you like like the sweet wedding dolls I used for this post? They were a custom order I did last month that traveled all the way to Minnesota. I loveeddd working on them and with the person who ordered them, it was a really great experience all around!
I should be updating more regularly again, I have just been so busy!
cannot wait to share all my wedding-ness with you!
