weekend getaway.

Happy Friday!
We're going on a mini getaway this weekend and it could not come at a better time.
I love going away, it always helps to clear my mind.
Here is a little peak at what I bring in the car with me to keep me busy and enjoy the ride.
It is so nice to have someone who doesn't mind driving so I can relax or doodle or read. One of our favorite traditions we started is listening to books on tape when we travel, we SO look forward to it and find ourselves taking longer routes just so we can listen longer:)

sleeping in.

Weekends are my new best friend.
Greg and I are fully back to the daily grind. And even though we both LOVE what were doing, work is work and we are SO tired every night. When we wake up on Saturday we feel like ourselves and love spending the morning together. We laugh most the morning, listen to lots of music, and enjoy the simple things like drinking from a mug instead of our travelers.
I have been organizing memories and moments from our wedding adventure and journaling like crazy. I know I did not do as many Le Wedding posts as I had promised but I figured now that the madness has settled I could still share all our DIYs with you (believe me there is *so* many)!

Happy First Day of Fall!

I know, I know. You're thinking, "wait I thought that was at the end of September?" and that's okay it is a common misconception. But the truth is fall reallllly starts the day you have your first pumpkin spice latte of the season!

So Greg and I decided to start fall this weekend. While we were picking up more apartment things and doing exchanges it was the perfect time to indulge in our seasonal treat.
Greg and I's story started sometime in the fall, as the leaves were changing so were we. Yes, honestly we do not remember or have an exact date, so for the last three years we have been saying "the fall" is our anniversary and we celebrate our love all season long.
It has taken a whole week for me to really process what happened the weekend before. For me to sit down and read all the kind words you all left for us, to just reflect and be thankful.
I am still in disbelief I get to spend everyday with my best friend, we are SO enjoying playing house.
And again I am surrounded by the most amazing people in the world. Our village of loved ones are the most incredible, giving, loving, encouraging, and selfless people I know. We absolutely could not have done it all without them

They're just jealous cause we're young and in love.

yesterday was absolutely the most magical day of my existence.
I still am not clear minded, but I needed to post something quick.
All I know is I am overwhelmed with the overflowing of love by all of this past weeks happenings.

moving on out.

We're still here! I am beyond behind on posting and DIYs but life is happening faster than I can possibly run. We started another really exciting adventure this weekend... moving into our first apartment!!!!!

I'm not sure how I can feel so many conflicting emotions at once, but I do. I am elated beyond belief but every time we go over to drop things off or clean things out I just keep saying (out loud),"holy crap, I live here".

I cannot wait to make this place a home. I am such a nook and cranny person. I love to make every little inch of a space feel special, if you've ever seen my current space you would truly understand. It is going to take me some time, combing two peoples likes, inspiration,and comfort it is going to be quite the task but I am completely up for the challenge.

Dismantling my current home is a something I have yet to confront. I moved in when I was sixteen and have built myself a magical escape where I feel both inspired and safe. I haven't ever had to let someone else into my world, but if it had to be anyone I am so thankful it is Greg.
I will try to keep you updated and fill you in on all the beautiful goings on as of late.
