new recipe: week seven.

Ek! I have been so productive today, I cannot wait to show you what I have been up to.
But for now here is something yummy I made this weekend. So thankful I have Lindsey to help me learn how to make the most delicious things and willing to share all her recipes.

Recipe of the week: Fruit Yummyness
(obviously I forgot the real name, haha)
This is basically really similar to an apple crisp but we made it with pears, apples, and raspberries.
It is going to be the most amazing thing to snack on this summer. Cannot wait for all the fresh fruits at the market!

I'm off hopefully will have time later to show you something super cute.

Let your love grow tall.

Hello there!
Well were home. I can say I did not miss this snow,
our usual 5 hour drive took 7, thank you Rochester.
But this weekend I was walking around with no coat on and attending bon fires,
it was much needed. I saw so many loves and got to spend some quality time which was super nice.I also got some early birthday goodies which I will post soon.

One my my favorite gifts though was from Amy.
She is one of my favorite souls.
Usually I have to squeeze in a date with her while I am home but not this time.
I went over there around 10:30 am and stayed till about 5 pm.
Needless to say it was wonderful.
Recipes, life tips, random questions, craft ideas, lunch, books, and babies were all shared.
But my favorite gift was: SEEDS!
She gave me all my seeds to start my garden!!
I am so very excited. (If you do not know gardening was one of my goals this year, you can read about it here.) Lots of seeds too, she gave me lots of good tips and also got my my very own twine for my beans and peas and tomatoes to grow on.

Later my boy came over and helped Amy fix and build some new shelves so she can start her sprouts, I cannot wait to start mine in the coming weeks.
Her little one Caleb was very excited to build with Greg.

It was a wonderful afternoon.
I have more happy things to share. I am glad to be home though and excited to get lots done.
Another post in a few hours.

High Five!

So I am in jersey, sitting around a table eating delish desert with some lovies and I say..
"ooh Friday Favorites tomorrow"

and they all look at me and say.. today is Friday.
UGH, my days are so messed up because of travel.
So I have to wing it with none of my bookmarked goodies, wahhh.

Giving myself grace, Here's my happy handmades, Jess and Lindsey addition, at ten o'clock at night.

1. Swooning over these lovely butterfly clips.
2. Dear Spring, please come soon. Love, Jess
3.Lin found these adorable bee's wing earrings... ekk.
4. Such pretty vintage utensils, Lin wants these for her kitchen.
5. I have a slight feather fetish.

oh all the lovely things. We made a pretty sweet treat tonight, it is going to be terrific for summer.

sweet sleeps,

new recipe: week six.

So I have been slacking a little on my recipe updates but I'm trying to get back on track.
I already have quite a few planned out, so I hope that will help.

This week: Homemade pancakes!

That is right! No pancake powder from a box. And honestly It doesn't take that much longer AT ALL to make these homemade, what is the fuss?

Sometimes I crave something really sweet even for dinner and this was just the answer!

Also in the food dept. I got more awesome snail mail this weekend.
It was a total surprise from my dear friend Meg.
She made me homemade recipe cards with some of her favorite dishes. SO SWEET.
I love surprises and I love homemade. Happy day.
She also told me to remember not to be so hard on myself if I do not get a recipe up one week, the world will go on. I need these reminders sometimes, I love friends.

We're home in jersey and have a fun weekend ahead. I cannot wait to share it with you.

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue FIsh.

Happy Wacky Wednesday!
Today is Dr. Seuss's birthday, so it would only make sense that the littles would have Wacky Wednesday at school. A day to dress completely silly and nonsensical and fit in because today wacky is "normal".
The funny thing is this isn't too far off of what my little 6 usually wears, but it was too cute not to share.

Is it bad that I hope to have to have the kid that dresses like this everyday?

The last two days have been filled with so many great people. Such blessings they are.
I'll be up late tonight packing for my getaway weekend to another home. I cannot wait to see my loves. Maybe I'll even sneak in another post tonight.

Hope you felt a little wacky yourself today.
