I never said I was brave.

Today I am embarking on a new adventure. I have to be honest, I am totally nervous and my morning coffee is seeming to only make me shake more compulsively. I have to be vague for now, because I am not really sure of all the logistics myself. All I know is I feel like a little kid on the first day of school, large smiles that hide insecurity of the unknown. I am thankful I get to try new things, it makes for a most interesting life.
I hope your today is filled with beauty,

//just a peak//

One of the personal tasks I have been working on this summer is making a portfolio of sorts in art journal form.
I wont lie, it has been weird to do something creative that wasn't ultimately for someone else, I feel sort of selfish but I really think its important to log all this randomness I do.

These are just a few of the pages I have finished, I am really proud of how its coming together. And its really nice to make something completely stress free. Just crafting to craft is something I sort of love.
I am getting excited about some upcoming things, I will share them with you within the next few days:)

You made this world to look so nice.

Just a good story..
I bought this mewithoutyou shirt at a show 4 or 5 years ago. When I saw it I was totally in love with the color of the shirt and the design. I have a lot of mewithoutyou tee's (maybe 8 or so) one from every tour that has come to our area over the years. This one was so different though, like nothing I had ever seen them have, the only size left was XL but I had to get it anyway.
Now fast forward 5 years and you will never believe my face when I first ever wore this around Greg and he looked at me and said "My friend designed that shirt".
Yup, the very talented Elizabeth I sometimes share posts about. The one who made Greg's christmas gift, and who's beautiful wedding we attended this summer. Ya, that girl also made a ridiculously awesome shirt for mewithoutyou, win.
I every time I wear it I smile, and this time I just had to share with you.
And speaking with mewithoutyou, they were recently in town, and I missed them for the first time EVER. This is literally the only time I have even talked about it because I get emotional, I was out of town for a wedding. wahhh!
But my brother Kyle went and he sent me a video and I almost cried at the wedding when I got it.
When I got home from Jersey he surprised me with It's All Crazy, It's all False on vinyl!
ekkkkkkkk! :)
Such a super good brother.
I have so much to tell you:) more updates to come!

you're the girl of my dreams and a pistol it seems.

When I was in the garden state last weekend, my dear friends Lindsey and Mike celebrated their one year anniversary of marriage! whoo hoo! They had a super beautiful wedding which I blogged about here, and it has been a honor to get to witness them grow together this past year.
Lindsey asked me if I wouldn't mind taking some anniversary pictures for them. I tried to reject her offer at first, telling her next time she visited Rochester I had plenty of friends who are real photographers who would be happy to take her pictures. She said she just wanted me to do it, she just wanted it simple and comfortable.
How could I say no?
So here are some peaks for my dear friend Lindsey, I am no professional but I hope these make her smile.
I am pretty happy with the way the came out. And thankful to have a boyfriend willing to do my editing because I truly hate it. haha. I also took some with film that I cannot waiiitttt to get back. I thought I was coming home to finally rest but I have still been non stop. I cannot wait to show you some of the things I have been doing though, holy ekk.
I should go to sleep but I have had far too much coffee.

Retro Beauty.

I have always been inspired by my Nan, she is pretty much the most amazing woman ever.
Her fashion sense has forever been a crush of mine. When I was little she had all her vintage shoes still in original boxes, her clothes were all in perfect condition, and of course she had purses to match everything. (I actually remember getting made fun of in elementary school and middle school for wearing her old clothes, haha who knew it would all be so cool now) She is also responsible for my obsession with pyrex because I grew up with it around her house, I may have just taken it to an unhealthy level, hehe. I also loved that she used to be a hair dresser because when I came home and told her I wanted to dye my hair pink, she happily helped me. Or when I wanted to learn how to bee hive my hair, she was showing me the correct way to french twist.
Last week my family was going through some old pictures and I stumbled upon yet another reason Nan and I are soul mates.
Nan totally rocked the blonde in the front during the 70s.
SO RAD RIGHT! My Nan is a such a betty!
I had to pull some more just because they are so great!
my Nan was the hottest mom ever.
I am in love with these. I cannot wait to find more.
drinking tea and catching up.
