Sweet Darlin'.

Last week I showed you the new tags I will be using for all my handmades, and started filling you in on all the upcoming projects I have.
A friend of mine asked me to make a doll for her sister-in-laws upcoming baby shower. I was thrilled to think a little would someday be cozying up to one of my babies.
She came out better than I had hoped and I was totally in love with her.
I am always really worried when making things specifically for people. I want them to just be perfect, something they will love forever. Something they might love just slightly as much as I do. I feel so thankful that even if its just a silly doll, I make things that others can enjoy.

Friday Faves.

Doesn't it always seem you find the prettiest things when you have the least amount of money? It does for me. haha There was some SUPER beautiful Etsy finds this week, ready?

1. But wouldn't this be the most perfect beach/summer bag. oh lovely.

2. I wish I would have just bought vintage frames. You just never know how they will look on, *sigh*. these are perfect.

3. THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING RING I HAVE EVER SEEN. WANT WANT WANT.

4. I very much love the print on these mugs. I would love a whole set!

5. This print is so sweet. I love people with antlers, I think it is darling.

So many talented people I tell you! Thankful for creativity and motivation for people to use it!

Yes, I'm alive.

Dear Blog World,

I am SO sorry for my absence this week. It was a suprise to me as well. I started off the week super strong and had LOTS of updates plan, then I got a phone call.
My dad who I have not seen in over two years was flying in from Vegas in just a few short hours. I was shocked, excited, and basically dancing around the house with glee. We have been having the most wonderful time together being well, us.
We have hit up every garage sale and thrift store and looked and so many old records I think I permently have dust stuck in my nose. We also have been eating FAR to much food.
Then I got the second biggest surprise of my life. My baby brother from Vegas decided not to let dad have all the fun, and bought himself a plane ticket out here too. OH MY WORD! I have been missing my family so so much and its has just been so great having the here.

I just do not know when I will get this much time again, so thank you for baring with me this week. I haven't really been home for longer than an hour. But tonight I made coffee and I am going to stay up a while and get some blogs done. Tomorrow is our last full family day with everyone. We are all running away to my Aunts cottage to sit on the water and enjoy life. But I am packing up the computer to get even more upadates finishing.
.Stay tuned for your regularly scheduled program.

If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense.

Well it was here and went. My dearest friend Sarah's bridal shower that I have been planning for was this weekend and I cannot believe how quickly it is all over. (You may remember the invitations I made a few months ago for it) Well yesterday was the day and I wish I could explain it all but I cannot. All I can tell you is it was everything I had hoped to give to her and more.
I was so nervous and excited that I only had time to snap a few photos. So here is a glimpse of the shower that I literally dreamed up for my friend Sarah. I hope you can get a feel of the little world we created.
Yes it was pure magic.
And my beautiful bride to be!
I have some fun pictures of al our friends who looked Oh so lovely that I will share later today.
My dearest Maria also knew I would be in stressfest mode and took some really beautiful pictures of everything for me, once she uploads them I will share, promise:)
Thank you to everyone who helped keep me so calm. I have the most wonderful friends who go get coffee, are not weirded out when they walk in the door and I ask them to go buy 30 mason jars, and are willing to reorganize and add things until it fits the picture in my head.
You ladies were wonderful yesterday.
And thank you to an inspiring bride, who is willing to just say I trust you. I hope it was everything you wanted it to be, I love you dearly.
I am still on cloud nine. I promise to float back down in a bit and share some more happy things with you all. Thanks for be patient through my busy weekend and lack of posts. SO much to share as always.

Treasure hunt!

Yesterday was super wonderful.
I feel like it was so relaxed but at the same time so much got done.
I started by a major clean sweep throughout my space. It is looking much better.
Maria came over and played on her computer while I cleaned. After I made us some pretty delicious coffee and we looked at LOTS of pretty things.
I had noticed some garage sales on my way home from nannying we decided to go have a peak. Little did we know we would be garage sailing for the next five hours.
IT WAS GREAT!
Here are some highlights from our day..
A whole box of mason jars for two dollars! Maria tried to talk me into getting all 5 boxes but I just couldn't. But we do have LOTS of plans for them:)
I took Maria to Jackson's bakery for the first time. It is one of my favorite places. My elementary school was next door and my forth grade teacher used to bring us there on Fridays and get us all smiley face cookies. Maria said it smelled just like where she grew up in New York City. After we basked in our nostalgia we enjoyed some yummy cookies!

SOO MANY RECORDS!
I called my Daddy last night to tell him about the records I got and he asked me about a few, and I actually saw them! I went back today to get them for him but they had sold the whole crate yesterday. SO sad. poor Daddy.
Our last mission was to find a stroller for Maria's sister in law, which we totally accomplished.
Super successful day. We got other goodies which I will not bore you with.
This weekend is about to get REALLY busy. Hope you can keep up with me:)
more in a bit xo,
